Puma Ayurvedic Herbals established as an R&D laboratory. A team of Ayurvedic Doctors developed 10 Ayurvedic formulations, for skin and hair treatment and beautification. In consultation with a cosmetologist, these were suitably modified for modern day customers.
Puma’s Manufacturing facility in the city of Nagpur. Retail sales started. Creams and oils were packed in Ceramic jars and bottles, while powders were packed in sachets and sold on Bamboo woven baskets.

First exports to Singapore & Malaysia in association with Thistle & Thyme House of Beauty.

motivated by excellent consumer response we selected 2 products to be widely distributed through chemists and beauty parlours across India. We were approached by Shaw Wallace and Co, Kolkata to be our country-wide distributors and marketing associate. In 1985, Manu Chhabria took over the company and decided to stop this verticle.

We built a new factory on outskirts of the city and shifted all our manufacturing, research and development activity there.
We were manufacturing products for different brands and sold off Brand name Puma to the Baidyanath Group.

Sadatan Ayurveda Pvt Ltd was started. Brand names Iraya, Kamantra, Vedaya were registered.
